I’ve been doing quite a lot of waiting for other people of late. There’s no one person causing this, just a number of things that take time to sort leaving me waiting for the next step for things to move forward.
I find waiting for other people quite hard. It’s easy to become critical when you don’t fully understand what the other person needs to do, or become impatient when a whole process is being held up by a single person’s delay.
The one thing that doesn’t help the situation is getting myself stressed about it. Aside from the occasional nudging, there’s nothing I can do when relying on other people.
There are enough things to stress about in life, I don’t need to stress about things that are out of my control.
Best to stick to Stephen Covey’s advice and focus my energy on things within my circle of influence.
